Community Involvement

PEG’s community work is dedicated to Isidro Perez Sr., father of Isidro Perez Jr., PE. He was a very giving person who touched and inspired many before he passed away in 2006, and keeping the Perez family name on our company is one way we carry his example forward.

In his honor, we invest time and resources in the students and young professionals who will plan, design and build the Central Valley’s future, and in families who could use a helping hand.

    Sanger West High School Scholarships

    This year, PEG is proud to sponsor its first two scholarships for Sanger West High School students. The scholarships honor the memory of Isidro Perez Sr. and the inspiration he gave his son, helping students as they take their next step after high school.

    Mentoring

    Since 2018, Isidro has provided free mentoring to anyone from middle school students to working professionals, helping them with career planning, goal setting and professional development. That includes mock interviews that simulate a real interview and give mentees constructive feedback before the one that counts. We continue that work today through PEG, sharing real-world project experience with the next generation of engineers.

    Fresno State

    Isidro Perez Jr., PE, is actively involved with California State University, Fresno, connecting with students and supporting the university’s role in developing the Valley’s next generation of engineers. During his time at Caltrans, he also gave traffic safety presentations to students as part of his Vision Zero work.

    Helping Families in Mexico

    Our commitment doesn’t stop at the border. PEG is planning an outreach effort to help families in need in Mexico, and we’ll share more here as it comes together.
